April Savings Challenge 2026: Official Rules and Regulations

1. Eligibility

    • The challenge is open to individuals who meet the age requirements set by the organization (typically 18+ for prizes involving financial accounts).
    • Participation is limited to natural persons; corporations or other entities are ineligible.
    • Employees of the sponsoring organization and their immediate family members are ineligible to participate in the raffle portion of the challenge.

2. How to Enter

    • Participation: Entry is gained by participating in the April Savings Challenge as outlined in the campaign strategy.
    • No Purchase Necessary: To comply with Kansas law and avoid being classified as an illegal lottery, a “no purchase necessary” free entry method must be available. Participation in the savings challenge itself must not require a fee beyond the act of saving.
    • Entry Limits: Participants may be limited to one entry per person or account.

3. Prize Drawing and Odds

    • Random Selection: Winners will be determined by a random drawing from all eligible entries.
    • Equal Chance: Every entry (or raffle ticket, if applicable) must have an equal opportunity to win.
    • Odds: The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

4. Prize Details

    • The specific prizes, including their approximate retail value (ARV), must be clearly stated before the drawing.
    • Prizes are non-transferable and no substitutions are allowed except at the discretion of the sponsor.

5. Winner Notification and Claiming Prizes

    • Notification: Winners will be notified via the contact information provided at entry.
    • Claim Period: Winners must claim their prize within 30 days of the drawing. If a winner cannot be located or fails to claim the prize, a second drawing from the original pool of entries must be conducted.

6. Taxes and Reporting

    • Winners are responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes associated with prize acceptance.
    • The organization is required to report any prize with a retail value of $1,199 or more to the Kansas Department of Revenue.

7. General Conditions

    • Compliance: This promotion is subject to all applicable Kansas laws and regulations regarding charitable gaming and prize winnings.
    • Tampering: The sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process.
    • Recordkeeping: The organization will maintain records of the drawing, including the names and addresses of winners, for at least three years.
